It was built with the amenities to never have to leave! Instructions were clear and given with plenty of notice. We ended up having to cancel some prior plans that would’ve kept us out until regular check in time. When I reached out to see if it would be possible to check in a bit early we were well received and allowed to do so! So thankful!!
The house, I cannot say enough about the use of space, VERY well done! Everything looked to be brand new, I almost felt guilty using it! Plenty of actives for a teen, child and toddler to enjoy and stay entertained!
The mini splits in EVERY room suited everyone’s needs. I did reach out about a few questions and was responded to promptly! Shuttle from car to door…

The hosts have thought of everything so you don’t have to. The only thing you need to bring is your people.
Yes — First Light and Sunsetter are genuine floating homes, permanently moored at Lake Cumberland Marina. You're not near the water, you're on it. Wake up to open lake views from every room and step straight from your patio doors onto your own private dock.
Lake Cumberland Marina sits in a generous no-wake zone, with calm waters and sheltered coves perfect for kids swimming, paddleboating, and unhurried afternoons right off the dock. When you're ready for more, open water and the real action are just a short boat ride away.
Each home has its own private dock — bring your boat or jet skis and tie up right outside your door. Prefer to rent? Pontoon rentals are available through the marina. And if you'd rather skip the fuel altogether, we've stocked both float homes with 2 paddleboards, an inflatable canoe, a water hammock, a Lily Pad, and a dock slide. Plenty of ways to get out on the water without ever leaving the property.
Yes — First Light and Sunsetter sit side by side, making them a natural fit for large groups, family reunions, or a full on girls weekend. Combined, they accommodate up to 24 guests. Reach out to Brandi Stone at (606) 383-1424 for dual-property pricing and availability.
Both homes are open year-round. Summer is peak — swimming, watersports, and long open-air evenings. Fall brings striking foliage and cooler nights on the water. Winter and early spring offer something rarer: a quiet, unhurried lake with the water mostly to yourselves.
The marina runs golf cart shuttles from the parking lot right to your front door. Coordinating your arrival? Reach out to Brandi Stone at (606) 383-1424 ahead of your stay, or call the shuttle directly at 270-566-7802 when you pull in.
The minimum stay is 2 nights. Weekend bookings fill quickly in summer — holiday weekends and peak season may carry a 3-night minimum. Check availability and book your preferred dates on the FloatHouzz Guesty page.
We’re unable to accommodate pets at this time. The marina is a long walk from the nearest pet relief area, and we want to help keep the docks clean, safe, and enjoyable for all of our guests. If you're traveling with your furry friend, we recommend Trinity Dog Boarding, just down the road. Call (606) 875-3289 to arrange your pet's stay while you enjoy yours.
